FAQ's
How do I book an experience at your studio?
To book an experience at our studio, you can use our online booking system. Simply choose the location and type of experience you’d like to book, such as pottery painting – daytime , boozy or late night. Follow the prompts to complete your booking. In most cases, a small deposit will be required to secure your booking, for BYOB sessions, we request £5 studio fee (non refundable). For throwing and parties the full payment will usually be required.
What is pottery painting?
Pottery painting is where you choose a bisque and paint it. After that, we glaze it and finish it off in our kiln. Then it’s yours to keep! Just to make sure we’re on the same page, you won’t be getting behind the pottery wheel during your visit – the bisque is already made. You’re in charge of the painting!
How much are the pottery items?
We ask you to ‘pay for what you paint’. This means you’ll pay for whichever bisque you choose from our selection of more than 300. All prices included paints, firing and VAT.
How do I pay?
You can pay for your booking over the phone or online. If you add extras on the day, we take cash or card in store.

How do I Reschedule a Booked Collection?
To reschedule a collection please contact us via [email protected] with details of your collection.
Are there any age restrictions?
- During daytime hours, there are no age restrictions, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
- At Social Pottery, our evening classes are 18+ and maintain an adult atmosphere where alcohol is consumed. All participants must be registered for the event.
Cancellation Policy for Pottery Painting:
Can you come to me?
Yes, as long as you’re a group of 10 or more. This costs a little extra, so email us and we’ll work out the details. You might also like to check out our virtual options.
Do you do discounts for charities?
Absolutely! Drop us a line at [email protected] and we’ll see what we can do for you.
When can I collect my items?
Your pottery will be ready 14 days after your painting session, and you will have 30 additional days to pick it up. No email or call reminders will be sent. If you need more time to collect your pottery, please contact for London [email protected]. and for Milton Keynes [email protected] Any uncollected pottery will be donated to a local charity or dissposal.
What happens if my item is damaged at Social Pottery?
Food and Alchol Terms
- Please check individual events for food/alcohol details.
- Alcohol is limited to 1 750ML bottle between two people or two standard bottles/ cans (330ML) per person.
- Guests must be at least 18 to consume alcohol at our event(s). We reserve the right to request ID from any guest drinking alcohol.
- We kindly request that all guests consume alcoholic beverages responsibly. In the event that a guest’s behaviour becomes disruptive or if they appear to be excessively intoxicated, we reserve the right to take appropriate measures, including asking the individual to leave the premises.
Can we bring alcoholic drinks?
As long as you’ve booked onto a boozy pottery session and you’re over 18. BYOB means bring your own booze and we’re happy for you bring nibbles too. We’re here to help you relax and have fun, but please remember we’ve a mix of parties, families and creatives who come to unwind at the studio – so we ask you not to get too wild!

Rescheduling Pottery Painting Events Terms
1. Rescheduling Pottery Painting Events:
You have two options to reschedule your Pottery Painting event:
- You can do so online by using the link provided in your confirmation email.
- Alternatively, you can contact us to reschedule, provided you do so at least 3 days (72 hours) before the scheduled event.
Please note that the rules for corporate and private events are detailed separately (please refer to point no. 2 below).
2. Corporate and Private Events:
For corporate and private events, a 50% deposit booking fee is required and must be received 15 days before the scheduled event(s). Please be aware that this booking fee is strictly non-refundable. However, you have the option to reschedule the event within 3 months from the date we received the booking fee.
If you wish to reschedule your booked corporate and/or private event, we kindly request that you provide at least 1 week (7 days) notice for rescheduling. To initiate the rescheduling process, please send an email with your cancellation request to [email protected].
