Me and my friend had a great experience at Social Pottery Making. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable even as beginners. The painting session was fun. All the staff are lovely and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested.

Social Pottery helped us organize a beautiful pottery painting workshop for 30 students! Everyone had a great time. Chloe was especially helpful through the process, and extremely accommodating to all our requests! A must do for anyone looking for a nice decompression workshop!

Course questions
Do I need any experience?
Not for a beginner course — Level 1 starts from zero and covers centring, throwing, trimming and glazing. The Improvers course (Level 2) is for anyone who has thrown before and wants to refine their shapes and finishing.
What is included?
Everything — clay, tools, tuition, glazing and kiln firing. There is nothing to bring except yourself.
How much time is it?
Six weekly sessions of 2–2.5 hours depending on the studio — around 15 hours at the wheel in total.
Where do courses run?
Studio 221 in Camden (beginner and improver levels), Balham, and Studio 150 in Milton Keynes. The list above shows every course with dates on sale right now.
Can I keep practising between sessions?
At Camden, yes — open-studio memberships from £15/hour give you a wheel and bench time at your own pace.
Can I gift a course?
Yes — gift vouchers are valid for 12 months and can be put toward any experience, a six-week course included.
