We are seeking skilled ceramics instructors with a passion for both pottery wheel techniques and hand-building methods to enhance our educational offerings. Ideal candidates should have beginner-level proficiency in wheel throwing, a thorough understanding of glazes and their applications, and be adept at various hand-building Techniques. Candidates are expected to possess a professional demeanor, appreciating the importance of the arts and its indispensable role in society.
Role and Responsibilities:
● Proficiency in wheel throwing, surface design, glazing, clay lifecycle, and hand-building techniques such as coil, pinch, and slab construction.
● Assist with the firing of student creations, including the efficient loading and unloading of kilns.
● Conduct preparations before sessions and manage cleanup operations afterwards.
● Ensure the ceramics studio remains tidy and well-organized.
● Address class-related queries from students and the local community.
● Teach through diverse demonstration methods to accommodate different learning styles.

Basic Qualifications:
● A varied portfolio that reflects a wide array of ceramic techniques and styles.
● In-depth knowledge of pottery and ceramics, including proficiency with kilnoperation.
● Experience teaching individuals across various age groups and from diverse backgrounds.
● (Preferably) Previous experience in planning, managing, or coordinating art-related programs, though not mandatory.
Job Type: Part-time/ full time available
Salary: £16.00-£25.00 per hour dependant on experience
