Cookies Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on socialpottery.com and our ticket shop at tickets.socialpottery.com, which are run by Social Pottery Painting Ltd (company number 10950533). For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others let a site recognise your browser on later visits, for example to measure how the site is used or whether an ad led to a booking.
Your choice
When you first visit, our cookie banner asks whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. You can accept all, reject all, or choose each one under "Customise". Until you choose, analytics and advertising cookies stay off. Necessary cookies are always on, because the site cannot work properly without them.
Your choice is saved for 12 months and covers both socialpottery.com and tickets.socialpottery.com. To change it, delete the cookies for socialpottery.com in your browser settings; the banner will appear again on your next visit.
The cookies we use
| Type | Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | sp_consent | Remembers your cookie choice | 12 months |
| Necessary | Booking and checkout cookies | Keep your basket and checkout session working in our ticket shop and booking windows | Mostly until you close your browser |
| Analytics (with consent) | _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics: shows how people find and use the site, by recognising your browser across visits | Up to 2 years |
| Advertising (with consent) | _gcl_au and other Google Ads cookies | Measure whether our Google ads lead to bookings | Up to 90 days |
| Advertising (with consent) | _sp_clid | Keeps the click identifier of the Google ad you arrived from, so a booking made later can be matched to it | 90 days |
If you reject analytics or advertising
We use Google Consent Mode. If you reject analytics or advertising, or have not chosen yet, Google Analytics and Google Ads do not set or read their cookies. They still receive basic, cookieless signals from your visit, such as a page view or a click on a booking button, which Google uses to estimate overall numbers without recognising you across visits.
If you arrived from one of our Google ads, the ad's click identifier is in the page address. When you click through to book, we pass it on in the booking link so the booking can be matched to the ad, even if you rejected advertising cookies. In that case it is read from the page address at that moment and not stored in a cookie. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail and how to object.
Measurement without cookies
We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
Third-party content
Some parts of our site come from other providers, which may set their own cookies under their own policies:
- booking windows from SevenRooms, ClassBento, bsport and our Pretix ticket shop;
- gift card checkout from Gift Up;
- enquiry, job application and collection forms from GoHighLevel (LeadConnector);
- Google Maps on our studio pages;
- our video guides, which load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode only when you press play.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop booking and checkout from working. The help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge explain how.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy when the cookies we use change. Questions: hello@socialpottery.com.
