HOW IT WORKS

Pick a piece, paint it, we fire it

Children choose a piece from the shelves (a mug, a plate, a bowl, a money box, a dinosaur), sit down at the table and paint it with our underglazes. Paints, brushes, stencils and a hand from the team are all included. We glaze and fire the piece in the studio kiln and it is ready to collect in two to three weeks, food-safe and dishwasher-safe.

good to know

KIDS FAQ

What parents ask

What age can children start?
Daytime painting has no lower age limit: toddlers paint alongside a parent, and every child needs an adult with them. The pottery wheel is for ages 10 and up.
How much does kids pottery painting cost?
The piece plus the studio fee. Pieces start at £18 in London and £15 in Milton Keynes, with the smaller children's pieces at the lower end, and the studio fee is £5 to £7 per person. Paints, glazing and firing are included.
Do we need to book?
Not for painting on a weekday or a Sunday: walk in. Saturdays fill up, so book ahead then. Parties and holiday courses are booked in advance.
Is it messy?
Less than you would think. The underglazes wash off hands and most clothes, there are aprons on the tables, and the clearing up is ours.
When is the piece ready?
We glaze and fire it after you leave. It is ready to collect from the studio in two to three weeks, or we can post it for a fee.
Can the adults paint too?
Yes, same table, same price per piece plus the fee. Daytime sessions are family-friendly and alcohol-free; the evening BYOB sessions are 18+, or 13 to 17 with a guardian.
rainy Sunday?
