Some things can only be made by hand
Social Pottery is a UK pottery and creative experience brand, bringing people together through painting, wheel throwing, hand-building, workshops, courses and social events.
More than a pottery studio
Social Pottery was founded in London in 2017 by Marian Walteros, with a vision to make pottery more accessible, modern and social. What began as a single painting studio has grown into a multi-location creative brand — wheel throwing, hand-building, courses, memberships, private events and creative communities.
Today our studios are welcoming, social spaces where friends, couples, families, children and teams can slow down, try something creative and spend real time together. No experience needed. No creative skills required. Just come as you are.
“For those who don’t think they can be creative, pottery is the perfect medium for creative expression.”

Made by people, not machines
Our collection is inspired by Mediterranean pottery traditions, where craftsmanship has been passed down through generations. We source from skilled ceramic craftspeople and independent makers — around 10% of the ceramics across our London studios are small-batch and artisan-made, alongside a wider collection of over 500 pieces.
We work with makers whose techniques carry generations of ceramic tradition.
Small-batch collections with independent London makers, adding a contemporary British influence.
Growing the share of artisan-made ceramics so you can paint work with real provenance.
The people behind Social Pottery
Founded Social Pottery in London in 2017 and continues to lead the vision — from the original painting concept to multiple studios, pottery making, franchising and the evolution towards The Creative Social Club.
Shapes the brand’s identity, digital presence and community through creative direction, social media and marketing.
Developed and owns Social Pottery Camden, expanding the brand beyond painting and into pottery making alongside experienced potter Noleen Read.
Together with our studio managers, artists, potters, teachers and technicians, they have grown Social Pottery from a single painting studio into a multi-location, multi-experience creative brand.
