Me and my friend had a great experience at Social Pottery Making. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable even as beginners. The painting session was fun. All the staff are lovely and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested.

Do I need experience to join?
You need to know the basics of working safely at the wheel. If you're new, start with a taster or a 6-week course. Everyone does a short induction before their first visit.
How does the firing allowance work?
Your work is weighed when it goes into the kiln. Each plan includes a monthly allowance, which covers both bisque and glaze firings. Go over it and extra firing is 50p per 100g.
Can I pause or cancel?
After your minimum term, monthly plans roll and can be cancelled with one month's notice. You can also pause for up to one month a year for free.
How does the founding offer work?
Join Studio or rolling Platinum by 31 January 2027 and your first two monthly payments are 20% off. It does not apply to Light, the 6 and 12 month Platinum terms, Glaze & Fire or the Class Card.
When is the studio open?
Studio 221 is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:30am to 9pm, and Sunday, 10:30am to 7pm. Member hours are bookable around classes and events.

Came here twice in the space of two weeks!!! Just shows how much I love this place , the staff are all incredible and so friendly I couldn’t recommend enough!! Made sure we had everything we needed and I had such great conversations with some will definitely see me again soon!
