Last Minute Gift Ideas in London

26 September 2026 · Alia Asghar · 3 min read

The birthday is tomorrow. Or it's the week before Christmas and one name on your list is still blank. Being short on time doesn't have to mean a panic buy at the petrol station.

Here are five gifts from our studios that you can still sort today, most of them from your phone.

1. A gift card that arrives in minutes

Our gift cards are digital, so you can buy one at midnight and it lands in their inbox straight away. If you'd rather it arrived on the day, pick a date at checkout and we'll send it that morning. Add your own message, or print it at home if you want something to hand over.

Choose an experience or an amount:

  • Pottery Painting for One, £30. A two-hour session and one piece to paint.

  • Beginner's Wheel Workshop, £50. Two hours with a tutor, two pieces to keep.

  • Date Night: Painting for Two, £60. Two hours for a couple, bring your own drinks.

  • Date Night at the Wheel, £95. Two hours on the wheel for two, four pieces.

  • A set amount of £25, £50 or £100, to spend on any experience or piece.

Every card is valid for 12 months at all five of our studios, and any balance left over stays on the card for next time.

2. Paint together today, no booking needed

If the present is an afternoon together, you can just turn up. Our painting studios in Kentish Town, White City (inside Westfield London), Balham and Milton Keynes all take walk-ins for daytime painting.

Choose from over 300 pieces on the shelves, from mugs and plates to bowls and planters, and paint yours however you like. Pieces start at £18 in London and £15 in Milton Keynes, plus a studio fee of £5 to £7. Paint, glazing and firing are all included.

One thing to know: after your session we glaze and fire the piece, and it's ready to collect in two to three weeks. So the afternoon is the gift, and the finished piece follows. Walk-ins are welcome, but booking is the only way to guarantee a table.

3. A date night that isn't another dinner

For a partner, book a late-night or Sip & Paint session for two. Bring your own drinks (cans, 18+), let the studio handle the music, and paint something for each other. When the pieces come back glazed, you swap.

Late sessions run at Kentish Town, White City, Balham and Milton Keynes. They fill up first, so book rather than walk in.

Giving it as a present? Painting for Two is £60 and Date Night at the Wheel is £95, both as gift cards valid for 12 months.

4. A first go on the wheel

For the friend who keeps saying they'd love to try pottery. Our beginner wheel sessions need no experience: a tutor guides you through the whole thing, and you keep what you throw. The wheel runs at Studio 221 in Camden, Balham and Milton Keynes, for ages 10 and up.

The Beginner's Wheel Workshop is two hours with all materials and two pieces to keep, and costs £50 as a gift card. For someone who's already hooked, our six-week courses at Studio 221 start at £260.

5. A Christmas outing for the whole family

At Christmas you can paint baubles as well as the usual mugs and plates. Daytime sessions welcome all ages, so bring the kids, the grandparents and whoever is visiting. For eight or more, book a private table (we can host up to 40 in the studio). For the adults, there are festive BYOB evenings.

If you want the baubles on this year's tree, come in at least three weeks before Christmas, as painted pieces take two to three weeks to be glazed and fired.
