Assistant Manager at Social Pottery White City
Full TimeWhite CityAssistant ManagerTraining provided

The Assistant Manager plays a key role in the successful day-to-day running of the Social Pottery studio, supporting the management team while leading by example and ensuring high standards of customer experience, organisation, and operational efficiency.

We are looking for an experienced, organised and proactive individual to support the management of our White City studio. Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality, retail or a customer-facing environment is essential. Experience in administration is required, and knowledge of ceramics is desirable, although full training will be provided.

This is a varied and fast-paced role, combining leadership, administration, customer service and operational management. The Assistant Manager will oversee daily studio operations, support and develop the team, manage bookings and administrative tasks, delegate responsibilities, resolve customer issues professionally, and ensure the studio operates safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate should be confident in managing multiple priorities, using initiative, and making decisions independently. The role includes a wide range of administrative responsibilities, including managing emails, responding to customer enquiries, organising bookings, preparing weekly operational documents, and ensuring company procedures are consistently followed.

As a leader within the studio, the Assistant Manager will help maintain a positive working culture by supporting, motivating and coaching the team, ensuring staff have clear direction and the resources needed to perform their roles effectively.

We are committed to supporting our managers to continue developing their leadership and operational skills. In return, we expect professionalism, accountability, initiative and pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Candidates are expected to:

  • Have previous supervisory or management experience.

  • Have administrative and organisational skills.

  • Have customer service experience.

  • Be confident leading and motivating a team.

  • Be based locally.

  • Have flexibility in working hours.

  • Be available for regular weekly shifts, including one weekend day.

Full training will be provided in studio-specific practices and customer service approach, and you will also have the opportunity to bring your own creativity and passion into the role.

If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, please send your CV along with a short statement explaining why you would be a great fit for the role.
